Client: Jon Tanner
Jon Tanner had an idea for improving child safety. His idea was to create a device that would make the various child safety restraints found in high chairs, shopping carts and other places – safer. He developed the idea, applied for a patent, and had CAD drawings drafted. But at the early stages of development the costs of having molds made and developing a prototype were prohibitive. So he turned to Studio 522.
We took his CAD drawings and created a special 3D model from them. That model allowed us to create a 3D animation that demonstrates how the device functions. What was “special” about it was that it was created to conform to the requirements for 3D printing. This allowed Jon to have a 3D printed prototype created for far less money than it would have taken to created prototype molds.
